EU Sustainable Energy Week - 22 to 26 March 2010

From Monday 22 to Friday 26 March 2010 the 4th edition of the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW 2010) will take place in Brussels and in other major cities across Europe.

Under the umbrella of the Sustainable Energy Europe Campaign, an initiative of the European Commission managed by the Executive Agency for Competitiveness & Innovation (EACI), the EU Sustainable Energy Week is Europe’s lead event on energy issues.


Awards Competition 2010: and the Nominees are…

The 4th edition of the Sustainable Energy Europe Awards Competition brings together 272 entries. These are outstanding projects recognised by the European Commission as part of the Sustainable Energy Europe Campaign from January 2009 to December 2009.
Those projects are ongoing, fully financed and implemented by public and/or private actor(s) in the fields of energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, clean transport and/or bio-fuels.

The 272 candidates were distributed in the following 5 categories:
Sustainable Energy Communities, Market Transformation including voluntary commitments, Promotional/Communication and educational actions and Demonstration and dissemination projects.

Following the evaluation of the Technical Advisory Committee, consisting of energy experts from KanEnergi and Target Gmbh, 26 projects have entered into the second round of the competition and are now officially nominated to the SEE Award. Click here to discover them!

All of the 272 projects of the Sustainable Energy Campaign in 2009 will receive an invitation to attend the Awards Ceremony where the winning projects will be handed the Award by the Commissioner for Energy. The Awards Ceremony will be held in the Théâtre de Vaudeville in Brussels on the 23rd of March 2010
